Crew President gets upgrade.
2 consecutive-year Crew 1143 President, Michael Duerkop is named Area One Venturing Vice-President of Program. Below is his biography.

"Michael Duerkop is from the Chippewa Valley Council in Eau Claire, WI. He is an incoming junior at Northern Lakes Regional Academy, where he is an executive board member on his local high school’s student council, he is also currently in charge of re branding his school’s business “Students In Innovation”. He joined scouting in first grade, to which he has earned his Tiger Cub through Life Scout Ranks. He is currently a life scout, with strong intentions of completing his last few requirements for Eagle Scout. He has also earned The Medal of Merit, The Vigil Honor and several other in council awards including but not limited to the Otyokwa Lodge Distinguished Arrowmen Award. Michael also serves as the Vice Chief of Inductions for the Otyokwa Lodge as well as Crew President for Crew 1143 chartered by Rice Lake Harley-Davidson. Michael also works at his local Council camp, L.E. Phillips Scout Reservation as the Cub World Office Manager. Outside of Scouting, Michael is happily employed at Stout’s Island Lodge as an Office Assistant. In addition, he enjoys golfing, acting with his community theatre company, cooking, playing piano and fishing."

Crew Executive Board announces the devlopment of a crew member "leadership interning program"
More information to come, Crew Leadership recently decieded to create a program allowing Crew members to intern in leadership posistions.
Crew Member recently finshes Eagle Project.
Crew Member Michael Lindau recently finshed his Eagle Project. Which was to re-create the signs at the UWBC frisbee golf course.
Rice Lake - Harley Davidson Birthday Bash deemed as "a sucess"
On a chilly May morning Crew 1143 was awake and setting up the Chippewa Valley Council, Boy Scout bounce house. Throughout the day the heat did begin to rise, but tanks to Tammi we had an auning to keep cool.
